Yorkville, Illinois, October 5 /PRNewswire/ -- AGCO (NYSE: AGCO) is hosting its annual Tech Day at Stewart Farms near Yorkville, Illinois, just outside Chicago, showcasing autonomous driving, artificial intelligence (AI), and connected fleet technologies. These technologies are being unveiled ahead of the fall harvest season to help farmers increase productivity, improve efficiency, and enhance profitability throughout the crop cycle.
“Farmers judge technology by the returns it delivers, not by what it promises,” said Eric Hansotia, Chairman, President, and CEO of AGCO. “At Tech Day, we’re showcasing autonomous driving, AI, and connected solutions in the very environments where farmers work every day, helping them extract more value from every field operation.”
AGCO’s PTx® precision agriculture solutions are designed to operate across brands and machine models, reaching farmers through dedicated technical channels to accelerate adoption. By combining specialized PTx dealers, AGCO machine dealers, and OEM partners, AGCO offers both retrofit and factory-installed solutions that help farmers connect mixed fleets, unlock the value of their data, and extract greater value from their existing equipment.
Throughout the event, AGCO will demonstrate how connected technologies work together across every stage—from planning and planting to crop protection, harvesting, and service support:
- Farm Management: PTx FarmENGAGE™ connects mixed fleets through a unified digital platform, while the Panorama® intelligent platform transforms machine and agronomic data into actionable insights.
- Aurora™: An AI assistant powered by AGCO within Panorama, allowing farmers to ask questions via voice or text and quickly obtain the maps, reports, and insights needed to make more informed decisions.
- Sowing: The Momentum® seeder, ArrowTube™, and Panorama work together to improve seed placement and support more uniform emergence.
- Weed control: The Fendt Rogator® 900, equipped with AI-powered SymphonyVision™ technology, precisely identifies weeds and applies herbicides only to them, aiming to reduce chemical usage and enhance efficiency.
- Harvest season: All activities—harvesting, grain handling, fertilizing, and tillage—are concentrated within a six- to eight-week window, making it challenging to find enough labor to complete these tasks on time. At Tech Day, the Fendt IDEAL® combine operated alongside PTx’s hybrid fleet modified with the autonomous driving solution OutRun™, autonomous grain carts for tillage and field harvest logistics, and the Fendt Rogator applying next season’s fertilizer immediately after harvest to incorporate nutrients into the soil before they can be lost to runoff. The result: farmers can accomplish more work on time with their existing teams.
- FarmerCore: AGCO’s unique distribution service model combines aerial upgrades, remote diagnostics, and extended field support to reduce downtime and bring expert support closer to farmers.
“Our Farmer-First strategy begins by giving farmers more choices in how they adopt technology,” said Hansotia. “Whether through devices they already own, their preferred brands, or trusted dealer relationships, AGCO is focused on making practical innovations more accessible and more valuable in the field.”
AGCO stated that the solutions demonstrated at Tech Day are currently available for commercial use or are progressing toward commercialization. Farmers can learn more through their local Fendt®, Massey Ferguson®, Valtra®, or PTx dealers.
