As per Bijiowang, the Australian Bitcoin Industry Association (ABIB) has formally complained to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) over a recent article it claims misrepresented Bitcoin and violated editorial standards. ABIB accused ABC of relying on outdated narratives, exaggerating Bitcoin's criminal use, and ignoring its legitimate global applications and growing institutional adoption. ABIB cited a Chainalysis report showing only 0.14% of on-chain transactions may be linked to illegal activities. ABC has 60 days to respond, or the matter will be referred to the media regulator.
