ChainCatcher report: Aave Labs proposes restructuring the Aave DAO bug bounty program by separating different protocol modules into distinct bounty programs, each operated independently by Immunefi, Sherlock, and Cantina. The maximum bounty for critical vulnerabilities in Aave V4 is proposed to increase from $500,000 to $2.5 million, while the maximum bounty for critical vulnerabilities in core Aave V3 is proposed to rise from $1 million to $5 million. The proposal also plans to transfer responsibility for Aave V3 on Aptos bug bounty funding from Aave Labs to the Aave DAO, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the multi-platform parallel model over the next 6 to 12 months.
