As per Chainthink, Aave's community has initiated a proposal titled 'Focussing the Aave V3 Multichain Strategy' to adjust its multichain deployment strategy. The proposal includes increasing reserve factors on underperforming chains to boost income, closing low-income markets on zkSync, Metis, and Soneium (annual income of approximately $30,000–$50,000), and setting a $2 million annual income threshold for new deployments. The proposal highlights that multichain expansion has brought high costs and risks, and Aave will focus on high-yield networks, with underperforming instances to be reviewed for retention within 12 months.
