Aave founder Stani Kulechov said the U.S. CLARITY Act is entering its final stages and will become the first regulatory framework for DeFi. The bill addresses CFT concerns and provides legal clarity for institutional and bank participation in DeFi. Kulechov noted that the Aave team has been in active dialogue with U.S. lawmakers. He described the regulatory crackdown as an opportunity to align DeFi with existing financial regulations.

Odaily Planet Daily News: Aave founder Stani Kulechov posted on X that it is now more crucial than ever for all industry stakeholders to reach consensus and make every effort to ensure the smooth passage of the U.S. CLARITY Act.

Stani stated that although the CLARITY Act is not perfect and many details still need to be defined by regulators, it will be the first regulatory legislation to address decentralized finance (DeFi), providing a clear legal framework and regulatory certainty for institutions, fintech companies, and banks to participate in on-chain finance. Once formally enacted, the CLARITY Act is expected to drive the on-chain finance ecosystem in a manner similar to how the GENIUS Act previously spurred opportunities for the stablecoin industry, attracting greater investment and institutional capital into the on-chain space.

Stani added that over the past year, especially in recent weeks and days, the Aave team has been in close communication with policymakers in Washington, D.C. He stated that the project has now entered the “final mile” of pushing for the bill’s enactment, a critical stage.
