Huo Xing Cai Jing reports that on August 1, according to Lookonchain monitoring, a former BNB Chain employee deployed a new token, ASTEROID, and used four newly created wallets to purchase 796.7 million ASTEROID tokens for $10,000, accounting for 79.67% of the total supply. The employee has since sold 718.8 million ASTEROID tokens, receiving 1,103 BNB (approximately $638,000), resulting in a profit of $628,000. Previously, BNB Chain officially stated that a former employee had unauthorizedly used the official test wallet to issue a new meme token (ASTEROID), and legal action has been taken.
