According to CryptoSlate, seven of the top ten Bitcoin miners by hashrate are already generating revenue from AI or high-performance computing (HPC) initiatives, with the remaining three planning to follow. This shift allows miners to leverage their existing infrastructure and energy resources to host AI workloads, creating a secondary revenue stream that competes with traditional ASIC mining. TeraWulf, Core Scientific, Bitdeer, and others have signed long-term hosting agreements or expanded their AI capabilities, with some securing hundreds of megawatts for AI campuses. The move reflects a broader industry trend as data-center demand rises and miners seek more stable cash flows.
