According to ME News, on July 24 (UTC+8), at least 29 overseas virtual asset exchange apps are currently unavailable for download on the Google Play Store in South Korea. Since one of the primary reasons Korean users access overseas exchanges is to engage in derivative trading such as futures, this investigation focused particularly on derivative platforms. Among these, the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of the Financial Services Commission of South Korea previously identified 14 platforms as unregistered Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) and referred them for investigation. Notably, an additional 15 exchanges, though not listed by the FIU in its official investigation notice, are also inaccessible via the Google Play Store in South Korea. (Source: ODAILY)
