ChainCatcher reports that a Bitcoin wallet created on November 2, 2011, transferred 100 BTC at block height 967,732, valued at over $8 million at the time of the transaction. The wallet originally purchased the 100 BTC at a price of $3.24 per BTC, for a total cost of approximately $324, resulting in an unrealized return of approximately 24,690,000%. On the same day, four wallets created between February and March 2013 each transferred 25 BTC, totaling 100 BTC, which were sent to the cryptocurrency custody provider BitGo. On-chain analysis indicates that these bitcoins originally originated from block rewards in March 2013; the miner has been consistently transferring similar amounts of BTC to BitGo since August 2025. Combined, these two transfers amount to 200 BTC, currently valued at over $16 million. The new address of the 2011 wallet is a P2WPKH address and has not been flagged by major block explorers as belonging to an OTC trader or centralized exchange. It is unclear from on-chain data whether the funds transferred from the 2013 miner to BitGo have been sold.
