Chen Guangyu joined the Kimi team as a machine learning researcher in November 2025, deeply involved in the development of Kimi K3’s underlying architecture. He thanked the company on social media for hiring him at age 16 and stated he will be moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States. He was previously speculated to join Anthropic, but has denied these claims.
Discovery Loop was founded in August this year by four former Google researchers, including Jeff Dean, with the goal of automating scientific research using AI; no product has been released yet.
