ME News reports that on August 7 (UTC+8), a long-dormant Bitcoin wallet transferred nearly 50 BTC, valued at approximately $3.2 million. The wallet originally received 49.97 BTC in 2011, when Bitcoin was trading at around $10. The BTC were sent to a SegWit address that previously received Bitcoin from the institutional broker FalconX and funds from wallets associated with Nexo and Prime Trust. The newly received BTC have not yet been moved from this address. This transfer occurred amid renewed scrutiny of old storage setups by long-term holders following a major vulnerability exploit targeting Coldcard hardware wallets. There is currently no evidence linking this 2011 wallet to the vulnerability. (Source: ODAILY)
