PANews, August 16: According to Cointelegraph, Markus Thielen, Research Director at 10x Research, stated that the data underlying the frequently cited prediction that Bitcoin will reach $1 million by 2030 is fundamentally flawed. Thielen argues that Bitcoin’s historical capital inflows over the past 15 years are far below the amount required to reach $1 million per Bitcoin over the next four years. He estimates that Bitcoin would need to attract $15 trillion in additional capital to reach a price of $1 million per coin—equivalent to approximately 25% of the total market capitalization of the U.S. stock market flowing into Bitcoin over the next four years.

10x Research Director Markus Thielen said the $1 million Bitcoin price prediction for 2030 lacks solid data. He noted that Bitcoin’s historical inflows are far below what would be required to reach that target. Thielen estimates $15 trillion in new capital would be needed—roughly 25% of the U.S. stock market. Bitcoin’s current price remains far from such a scenario.
