I am okay, but am I? I have claimed to be many things I am not, so I would not become a burden to everyone around me. I bury and bury feelings that pierce their way out. And when they do, I add another layer to hide them. Perhaps a day will come when I put on the final layer without knowing it is the last. Every dance has its final step. Every act, an ending. And if today is my last, we dance to it. Until the music fades and morning finds me without another layer to wear.
