The Iranian Parliament has announced new Strait of Hormuz regulations: — Only countries that support the war may transit, provided they compensate for any resulting damages. — A “pilotage and security” fee will be charged for all passing vessels. — Payments must be made in Iran’s national currency, the Rial. — Transit is completely prohibited for vessels linked to Israel. — Vessels violating the rules will be seized and fined up to 20% of their cargo value.
