Intersect definitely creates helpful structure for Cardano governance, but I find myself heavily agreeing with the folks who think relying on Intersect at this point for executive function is NOT a good idea. It is far too insular and the elections aren't meaningful. Not sure if anything can be done at this point, but I think we are undervaluing the wisdom and expertise of seasoned executives who normally create this type of framing at other organizations e.g. budget, growth strategy, business prioritization, etc.... I'm not trying to undermine anybody's contributions, but the executives I've worked with in the past were executives for a reason. Generally speaking they had specialized skills that most people lack. For instance, when I was involved in Intersect, I tried to bring in a Nike executive for branding/marketing advice and mentorship. As a Cardano investor and builder, I want seasoned executives with specialized skills involved in the decision making process. Otherwise, I want SMEs creating their own proposals. With all due respect, alignment with Intersect's process or ideas can not be the end all / be all to funding Cardano initiatives in 2026. It would be incredibly foolish to believe that a loosely organized group of insider volunteers are capable of creating a competitive executive budget, vision, and strategy. Let's see what happens, but unfortunately....I see more pain ahead for Cardano governance and budget decisions.
