In a detailed post on X, MicroStrategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor unveiled his vision for the future of Bitcoin as the foundation of a new global financial system.
Saylor positions Bitcoin as "Digital Capital" — the scarce, sovereign base layer: global, liquid, programmable, and free from government or corporate control. He argues it requires no changes, staking, or inflation to succeed.
Building atop BTC, he proposes a five-layer stack:
- Digital Capital: Pure BTC for long-term holders.
- Digital Credit: Bitcoin-backed instruments (e.g., STRC-style) offering yield with reduced volatility.
- Digital Money: Stable-value, yield-bearing products (pegged to fiat like USD) combining credit and cash equivalents for payments, savings, and daily use.
- Digital Yield: Levered or structured higher-return products.
- Digital Equity: Volatile upside vehicles like MSTR shares.
Saylor emphasizes: "Bitcoin remains Bitcoin. The world builds on top."
