KuCoin Unified Trading Account (UTA) Launch Announcement

Dear Valued Users,

To further enhance asset utilization efficiency and deliver a more professional trading experience, KuCoin will officially launch the Unified Trading Account (UTA) on February 10, 2026.

The Unified Trading Account (UTA) adopts a cross-collateral trading model across KuCoin’s spot and futures markets. It is designed to help professional users and high-frequency traders manage capital and risk more efficiently. With UTA, users can consolidate spot, futures, and margin assets into a single account, enabling shared margin utilization, integrated risk management, and access to the lowest-latency order placement, cancellation, and updates message pushes.

How to Enable the Unified Trading Account

  1. Go to Trading Page → Trading Settings → Preferences → Account Mode

  2. Activate the account and switch to Unified Trading Account Mode.

  3. To enable UTA, the account must have no open positions or active orders. Please close all positions and cancel all open orders before switching.

  4. The activation process takes only a few seconds. Trading and fund transfers will be temporarily unavailable during this time.

  5. After enabling UTA, you may also able to switch back to Classic Account Mode at any time via the same entry point.

  6. After activation, assets will remain in your Classic Account. Please manually transfer funds to the Unified Trading Account to begin trading.

  • Unified Trading Account may generate interest rates. Please refer to this article for details.

  • Both main accounts and sub-accounts can be independently set to Unified Trading Account mode, which means that under a single master-sub-account structure, Classic Account Mode and Unified Account Mode can coexist.

  • Since the Unified Trading Account mode applies an account-level risk mechanism. Please be aware of risk management for your trade. Please refer to this article for details.

  • Supported Margin Currencies: USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, DOT, LINK, AAVE, SUI, LTC, TRX, TON. To view supported margin assets and corresponding collateral discount rates, please refer to Unified Account Collateral Discount Rates.

  • For API access, we recommend using our Pro API endpoints to achieve the lowest latency for trading.
