KuCoin Predictions FAQ

Last updated: 09/30/2026 06:25:00

1. What is KuCoin Predictions?

Predictions lets eligible users access supported Polymarket markets and trade shares tied to real-world event outcomes through the KuCoin App. KuCoin provides the interface and related account functions, while the markets, prices, liquidity, execution, and results are provided or determined through Polymarket.

2. Which asset and KuCoin accounts can I use for trading?

Predictions supports USDT. You may select Funding Account, Financial Account, or Trading Account as the source account. If Financial Account or Trading Account is selected, the required USDT will be transferred automatically to your Funding Account.

3. How do I place a trade?

Go to Markets > Predictions, select a market and outcome, enter the USDT amount, and choose a source account. Review the market rules, estimated price, shares, and applicable fees before confirming.

4. How can I profit?

Method 1: Hold Until Settlement
For a normally resolved binary market:
  • Winning shares settle at $1 per share. Profit per share before fees = $1 − purchase price.
  • Losing shares settle at $0, meaning you lose the amount paid for those shares.
Method 2: Sell Before Settlement
  • If the price in the corresponding Polymarket market rises, you may be able to sell your shares above your purchase price before settlement.
  • Profit per share before fees = selling price − purchase price.
  • Selling depends on the corresponding Polymarket market's status, available liquidity, and applicable price-protection limits.

5. When does a market settle?

Settlement begins after Polymarket finalizes the result under the applicable market rules, including any review or dispute process. The event ending does not mean settlement is complete. Once completed, any applicable proceeds are credited automatically to your Funding Account.

6. How are market prices determined?

Prices are formed through participants’ buy and sell orders in the corresponding Polymarket market. Your execution price depends on the prices and liquidity available when the order is filled. A displayed price is not KuCoin’s prediction or a guaranteed outcome.

7. Why can’t I find or access Predictions?

Make sure you are using the latest KuCoin App in Pro mode, have signed in to the correct account, and have completed Identity Verification. Predictions is available only to eligible accounts in supported regions. Do not attempt to bypass any access restriction.

8. Why was my order rejected or partially filled?

An order may be rejected, partially filled, or unfilled because trading has closed, the price changed, sufficient liquidity was unavailable within the price-protection limits, or a temporary service issue occurred. Only the filled portion creates a position.

9. Why do the final price and number of shares differ from the estimate?

The pre-order price and share amount are estimates. Price movement, available liquidity, price protection, and partial fills may affect the final result. Check the completed order record for the final execution price, filled amount, shares, and fees.

10. Where can I view my orders and positions?

You can view your position under Predictions > Assets and check Predictions > Assets > History for the latest trading and settlement records

11. Can I sell before settlement?

You may submit a sell order while the corresponding Polymarket market remains open, subject to available liquidity and price protection. The order may be fully filled, partially filled, or unfilled, and any unsold shares will remain in your position. Selling does not cancel the original purchase.

12. Why is a market paused, closed, or unavailable for trading?

A market may become unavailable because trading has closed, the result is being confirmed or disputed, the market has been canceled, or a temporary service issue has occurred. Check the market status and rules for the latest information.

13. Where will my settlement proceeds be credited?

Any applicable settlement proceeds will be credited automatically to your Funding Account, regardless of the source account selected.

14. What fees apply to Predictions trades?

Predictions orders may include:
  • A Polymarket taker fee, depending on the market and share price. Some markets may be fee-free.
  • A KuCoin technical service fee equal to 1.5% of the order amount.
Review the applicable fees before confirming an order and in the completed order record afterward.
Price movement and liquidity in the corresponding Polymarket market, applicable price protection, and partial fills may affect the execution result, but these differences are not fees.

15. How is a market result determined?

Each corresponding Polymarket market is resolved under the rules and result source shown on its market page. KuCoin does not independently determine the result. In a normally resolved binary market, winning shares settle at $1 and losing shares at $0.

16. What information should I provide when contacting KuCoin Support?
