Co-founder of Dogecoin draws attention with message “We’re so back?” Billy Markus, co-founder of Dogecoin and known on X as @BillyM2k Nakamoto, recently garnered attention after posting the brief message: “We’re so back…?”, just as the crypto market began a broad recovery. At the time of this article’s publication, Bitcoin rose approximately 5% over 24 hours, Ethereum increased nearly 6%, and numerous altcoins—including Avalanche, Ethena, Morpho, Filecoin, Injective, and VeChain—gained between 14% and 22%. Dogecoin also rose nearly 4% to around $0.088. Markus did not explicitly clarify whether his message referred to DOGE or the broader market. However, given the timing of the post and the improving investor sentiment, the community interpreted it as a positive signal of returning risk appetite for crypto. Notably, Glassnode data shows that leverage levels in the altcoin market have not yet reached the thresholds typically associated with overheated conditions, while Bitcoin has regained its True Market Mean. This suggests that the current recovery still has room to expand if capital continues to flow into altcoins.
