OCEAN NAMES BOB BURNETT NEW CHAIRMAN OCEAN’s Board of Directors has elected Barefoot Mining founder and CEO Bob Burnett as Chairman as the Bitcoin mining pool undergoes a major leadership transition. Burnett has been involved with OCEAN since its founding, served on its original Board, was the first miner to contribute hashrate to the pool and mined OCEAN’s first-ever block. The appointment follows the departures of co-founder, Chairman and CTO Luke Dashjr and Head of Communications Bitcoin Mechanic. Dashjr left following “different visions for the future of Bitcoin mining” and is launching a new mining venture, CONVOY.
