If you follow the privacy onchain space, you know the challenge isn’t just about keeping data private—it’s also about verifying transactions and meeting compliance requirements. That’s why I find @zama’s participation in OTL as a founding partner particularly noteworthy. OTL is building open standards to enable coordination between organizations, self-custody wallets, and AI agents around identity, messaging, and transactions. Zama will contribute FHE technology to encrypt amounts and balances on public blockchains, while still allowing transactions to be verified and compliance rules to be enforced. In my view, this is the necessary path forward if onchain finance is to simultaneously protect privacy and operate effectively in the real world.
