🔔 Ripple Plans to Obtain Australian Financial License Through Acquisition, Targeting Completion in April HuoXing CaiJin reports that on March 11, cryptocurrency company Ripple announced its plan to acquire payment firm BC Payments Australia to obtain an Australian Financial Services License (AFSL), with the transaction expected to be completed on April 1. Upon completion, Ripple will acquire the AFSL, which is set to become a necessary qualification for certain cryptocurrency companies seeking to offer financial services in Australia. Ripple stated that with the AFSL, its payment operations in Australia will enable end-to-end transaction management—including client onboarding, compliance, fund settlement, foreign exchange conversion, liquidity management, and final payments—while integrating traditional banking systems with digital asset networks. Over the past year, Ripple has steadily expanded its global compliance footprint, having already secured payment-related licenses in Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom, as well as conditional approval for a U.S. national trust bank charter. The company is also growing its business through acquisitions, including the purchase of institutional broker Hidden Road, now known as Ripple Prime. https://t.co/yvdgD7DcEM
