Follows are rising, but impressions are stuck—has anyone noticed? Many Vietnamese accounts are stuck right here: follows are growing steadily, but reach isn’t moving at all. The issue isn’t bad content—it’s that you’re optimizing for the wrong metric. Followers are fake; impressions are real. X pays based on impressions, not followers. An account with 900 followers but 5 million impressions over three months can still earn money, while an account with 10K followers and zero engagement stays out of the game. Three areas where you’re wasting effort: - Chasing 200–300 follows per day without checking if those accounts have a blue checkmark or are active → you’re following dead accounts. - Replying just to reply without reading the post → the algorithm detects this and doesn’t count it as “meaningful engagement.” - Posting at peak hours but forgetting to reply to comments in the first 5–10 minutes → you’re losing half your multiplier.
