Contributors are rewarded for captures that meet the requester’s requirements. From there, approved footage can be transformed into 3D representations, creating spatial data that AI systems can use to understand physical surroundings. The interesting part is how a simple smartphone recording moves through several stages: capture, review, reconstruction, and settlement. Each stage adds a different layer of utility. For me, the long-term question is whether this process can deliver dependable spatial data at scale while protecting the privacy of the people and places being recorded. Because physical AI won’t just need more data. It will need data that can be trusted.
