Visa says people would be much more willing to use stablecoins if they came with fraud protection. That's hardly surprising. One of Visa's biggest advantages over direct stablecoin payments is chargebacks: if you're defrauded, a payment can sometimes be reversed. Stablecoins don't offer that. What I'd really like to see is a blockchain that does: one where a payer can reverse a payment by presenting proof of fraud. Then we'd have a real choice and could find out how much people actually value that protection. Until then, Visa's survey looks a lot like marketing for Visa.
