Every capture gets fingerprinted at record time (content hash + coarse location + timestamp) batched into Merkle trees and the root lands on Base every ~15 minutes. You can open a tree pull a leaf and recompute the root against the attestation tx yourself. No trust required. What caught my eye is the framing they just ran: humanoids are shipping (19k units H1, 70%+ industrial) model labs are consolidating and the data companies raising tens of millions are still building more indoor rigs and warehouses. That solves manipulation trajectories. It does not solve the street the loading bay the stairwell the market aisle that changes every day. Satellites see roofs. Mapping fleets see roads they can drive. Neither sees the ground- level geometry robots actually need. Vangrid’s answer is the phones people already carry. Contributor opens the app records a short clip of a real place faces and plates blurred on-device before anything leaves the handset. Buyer posts a funded USDC bounty for a specific location. Winner gets paid onchain reconstruction included. Demand-driven from day one not emission-driven. I’m not treating 1M captures as “the grid is finished.” Device attestation and collateralized independent review are still marked not-live.
