The launch of zPayments by @zothdotio on @base is a useful step for businesses that already rely on stablecoins for cross border payments. From a business side, the process is pretty straightforward. Pay with stablecoins and send local currency across supported corridors in 171 countries, with the required compliance checks handled on the platform before the payout is made at a stated rate. What I like here is that it solves something businesses actually deal with. Moving into a new country shouldn’t mean figuring out a completely new payment process, FX setup and compliance flow every time. Base provides the onchain infrastructure, while Zoth is making it easier for businesses to actually use it. Stablecoins are already good at moving dollars around the world. The harder part has always been turning those dollars into something useful once they reach the other side of the border.
