. @Visa now supports 130+ stablecoin-linked card programs across more than 40 countries, up from roughly 90 last year, so I'm always on the lookout for new crypto cards, popular or not. This week I came across @DptPay. At first glance, it's another stablecoin-funded Visa card, built around USDC and USDT. You pay in the merchant's local currency while DPT handles the stablecoin-to-fiat conversion and Visa settlement in the background, same as @ether_fi, @RedotPay, and several others already do. But DPT is building more infrastructure around the card than most. They say their payout network reaches 100+ currencies across 80+ corridors, and the business product lets merchants accept stablecoins from 0.3% per transaction with same-day settlement in fiat or crypto. Card spending also connects to DeFi yield, so the same stablecoins can earn, spend, accept payments, and pay out into local currencies. That's an attempt at a complete stablecoin payment loop rather than a standalone card, and IMO it's the right thing to build. It's still early, though; the Android app sits at 5K+ downloads, and there are no public figures for card volume yet, so I'm not super impressed yet, but I'll def be keeping an eye on this one.
