U.S. 10-Year Yield Hits 4.80% as Global Bond Selloff Deepens The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield climbed to 4.80%, its highest level since early 2025, extending the move from the previously reported 4.78% level. Brent crude also rose to $92.10 per barrel as renewed Middle East tensions intensified inflation concerns. The bond selloff has become global, with yields also surging in Japan, Germany and the UK. Markets are increasingly considering the possibility of a Fed tightening cycle involving as many as three rate hikes beginning in September. The combination of higher long-term yields and higher energy prices is a direct valuation and financing-cost headwind for high-growth names such as TSLA, NVDA and SPCX.
