⚠️ A DeFi protocol can have excellent code and still face serious problems if the data it receives is wrong. Let us consider a simple example. A user deposits cryptocurrency as collateral to borrow another asset. The protocol must determine how much that collateral is worth. If the market price falls, the value of the collateral decreases. Depending on the protocol's rules, the position may approach liquidation. Now imagine that the price feed is outdated, manipulated or otherwise inaccurate. The protocol could calculate collateral values incorrectly, potentially exposing users and the protocol to financial losses. This is why oracle reliability is not merely a technical detail. It is an important part of DeFi risk management. A well-designed oracle integration should consider several factors: 🔹 Data accuracy: Does the information reflect a trustworthy source? 🔹 Freshness: Is the data recent enough for the application's needs? 🔹 Availability: What happens when an update is delayed or unavailable? 🔹 Manipulation resistance: How difficult is it for an attacker to influence the reported result? 🔹 Failure handling: Can the protocol respond safely when data cannot be trusted? WINkLink's role in oracle infrastructure makes these questions relevant to developers building blockchain applications. However, no oracle should be treated as a guarantee against every form of manipulation or failure. Security depends on the entire design, including data sources, oracle configuration and the smart contract itself. For the TRON ecosystem, stronger infrastructure means taking these risks seriously before problems arise. DeFi security is not only about protecting the code. It is also about protecting the information that code relies on. What do you consider the bigger DeFi risk: vulnerable smart contracts or unreliable external data? @justinsuntron @WinkLink_Oracle #TRONEcoStar
