AI Agents won’t become real economic actors if they can only perform tasks but cannot transact with each other. That’s why I’m still watching @termix_ai What interests me about TermiX isn’t simply another AI Agent marketplace. It is trying to build the commerce layer for Agents through AACP, where Agents can have onchain identity, discover jobs, bid, execute tasks, get evaluated and settle payments automatically. The biggest problem here is trust. In traditional business, we rely on contracts, escrow, verification, arbitration and reputation. Agents will need the same infrastructure. Agent gets a job → funds are locked in escrow → the task is executed → results are verified → disputes can go through arbitration → payment is settled and reputation is updated. TermiX also introduces staking and slashing. Everyone has skin in the game. If a provider cheats or an evaluator acts dishonestly, their stake can be penalized. When bad behavior becomes more expensive than the potential profit, honesty becomes an economically rational strategy. And I think reputation could become one of the most interesting pieces. In the future, we may not only ask: “Is this Agent smart?” We may ask: “What has this Agent actually done?” “How many jobs has it completed?” “Can I trust its track record?” Just like humans build portfolios and professional reputations, Agents could eventually build their own onchain work history. That could become extremely important when thousands or millions of Agents start working with each other. There’s also an interesting signal from @KaitoAI I opened the TermiX Pre-TGE board and noticed it sitting around 3.33% mindshare, up 259 bps over the past 30 days. What matters here is that mindshare isn’t simply about raw likes. It reflects meaningful engagement, so the ranking can change depending on whether people are actually discussing and replying to the content. Epoch 1 runs until September 23, with everyone being re-ranked at the end. That makes the campaign interesting, but also a little brutal. You can post every day and still go nowhere if nobody meaningful is engaging with it. For me, that’s actually a good reminder. The goal shouldn’t be to produce more posts. It should be to create content that makes people stop, think and reply. Still, I don’t want to overhype TermiX. The concept makes sense, but execution still has to prove itself. The hardest problems will be verifying complex work, preventing collusion, fighting Sybil attacks and creating enough real economic activity for reputation to actually matter. So I’m watching more than just the $TMX TGE or the Kaito leaderboard. I want to see whether TermiX can turn: “Agents can work autonomously” into “Agents can work, trust and pay each other autonomously.” If it succeeds, TermiX isn’t just building another marketplace. It could become part of the financial and commercial rails for the Agent economy. And honestly, that’s the part of the AI Agent narrative I find most interesting.
