The more time I spend talking to people outside the $TAO ecosystem, the more I realize how little Bittensor is actually understood. Honestly, I don't think even 1% of crypto truly understands what's happening here. That's both a problem and an opportunity in my opinion. It's a problem because, as a community and as a Foundation, we still have a huge information gap to close. If experienced crypto investors don't understand the emissions structure or where the real value is being created, then we simply haven't done a good enough job explaining it. But it's also the biggest opportunity in crypto right now, not only fundamentally but if we can close that information gap it will bring in a lot of new capital. The people who have taken the time to research Bittensor understand how the ecosystem actually works tend to arrive at a very different conclusion than those looking from the outside. For the first time in crypto, we're seeing an ecosystem where dozens of independent teams are competing to build products that create real-world value, with incentives directly tied to that success. That's a very different investment thesis than we've been used to in crypto, where to be fair 99% is absolute BS. At some point, that information gap needs to close. Might be because of a breakout subnet or because we do better outreach, I don't know yet but it needs to happen to truly get to the point where we need to be as an ecosystem. Until then, I think the lack of understanding is one of the biggest opportunities and challenges of the Bittensor ecosystem. Enough morning thoughts, enjoy your Wednesday! ✍️
