“If subnets grow, scale and do well, what’s their incentive to stay? We are seeing this in real time with Templar. The team behind Bittensor's biggest achievement just walked away from the network. Subnets that succeed have every incentive to leave” You are an imbecile trying to sound smart. You clearly have no idea how Bittensor works. Let me say this is plainly as possible: If subnets grow, scale, and do well on Bittensor, it is literally because of the structure of the network and the incentive mechanism: $TAO emissions. Subnets on Bittensor, are companies that have designed their entire operation around working with incentivized miners all over the world to do the work that allows them to scale, grow and do well. Take away the network of miners and the incentive mechanism and their technology doesn’t work. The success of Templar came directly as a result of the Bittensor network and the $TAO incentivized miners. How on earth would that scam artist @DistStateAndMe have achieved that 72 billion parameter training in a decentralized fashion with thousands of miners around the world without the emissions of TAO incentivizing them? The only way he could repeat that is by plugging his business into another decentralized protocol with a similar emissions structure. When you dig deep enough, which you have not, you will see that Bittensor isn’t the problem. The problem is the Nigerian scammer that stole $10 million from the holders of his company’s token. Did you see him announce that he is continuing Templar somewhere else? Do you think he can achieve the same thing working for a centralized corporation? No. He would have to do what he did on Bittensor or some kind of other network with a similar structure and emissions. There is no limit to how much a company can scale and do well on Bittensor. And every other subnet owner has come out in defense of the network and against the owner of Templar since that happened So, if you truly believe what you were saying then you are saying the direct opposite of what almost EVERY company/subnet owner on Bittensor is saying. Even the scammer who owned Templar and rugged everyone never argued that you can’t scale and grow on Bittensor. He only argued that he was butt hurt by the fact that the founder was censoring him, and sold tokens of his subnet, which lowered his emissions. Learned something. Do better.
