Sui Basecamp 2026 - Full 2-Day Recap 🇸🇬 Two days at Sui Basecamp 2026, and there was still so much more to explore. I've been following the Sui ecosystem for years, but attending Basecamp in Singapore gave me a better picture of what teams are actually building. Just like last year, Sui brought plenty of major announcements. But this time, the bigger theme was how people and AI agents could use blockchain in everyday life. - Day 1 The event kicked off with live trading on Hudi, where four traders competed in front of the crowd and @tradermayne took home the $25K prize. We also had AI workshops, demos, conversations with builders, and one of the biggest moments of Basecamp. Sui reached over 40.6 million TPS in a live demonstration. The test involved more than 10,000 programmable Sui Tunnels, with activity happening offchain and settling back to Sui. This wasn't 40 million transactions executed directly on L1. Instead, it demonstrated an architecture designed to support high-frequency activity without putting every interaction on the main chain. Walrus also introduced Walrus Console, making it easier for developers to manage files, encrypted data, and AI agent memory. And that was only Day 1. - Day 2 More AI demos, agents playing poker, a technical session about Miso, and Evan Cheng sharing what's next for AI agents on Sui. Evan's presentation particularly stood out to me. Instead of just making AI agents smarter, the focus was on giving them clear permissions and boundaries so they could act on our behalf without having unrestricted control over our assets. An important step if AI agents are going to handle real money. We also got several major announcements. → Samsung Wallet is bringing USDC on Sui to eligible Galaxy devices, starting in the U.S. → DATA Network, formerly Story Protocol, is joining Sui and Walrus, backed by a $30M investment from the Sui Foundation. → Hashi is preparing its mainnet rollout with over $500M in committed capital and Anchorage Digital as a launch partner. → Circle's CCTP V2 is now live on Sui. But Basecamp wasn't just about technology and announcements. Between sessions, I explored project booths, met builders, and caught up with friends from around the world. And that's probably my favorite part of events like this. Thanks to Sui, I've met so many amazing people over the years. Getting to see them again in person and create new memories is something I truly appreciate. If there's one thing I took away from these two days, it's that Sui is building toward a future where blockchain serves both people and machines. Stablecoins in familiar payment apps. AI agents operating within defined permissions. Infrastructure designed to support the data and transactions they'll need. There's still a lot to build, and the real test will be whether people actually use these products. But the direction is becoming clearer. I'm grateful I got to experience another Basecamp, especially with Singapore being so close to Vietnam and making the trip much easier. To all the builders, organizers, and staff, thank you for putting so much effort into making these two days possible. And to all my friends, I hope we get to meet again soon. See you next year, Sui fam! 🌊
