INSIDERS ARE DUMPING STOCK AT THE FASTEST PACE SINCE 2021. Corporate insiders sold $77.6 billion of stock in the first half of 2026, up 20% from last year, Per Bloomberg. The only time selling was higher was 2021, during the pandemic stimulus boom. At the same time, insider buying stayed weak. Executives only bought $6.9 billion worth of shares, barely above last year's 7-year low. That's a big gap between insider selling and buying, even as the S&P 500 is up 7.7% this year and on track for a fourth straight year of double-digit gains. The people closest to these companies don't think current prices are worth buying, right as fears grow that AI stocks have gone up too fast.
