🔴Retail investors are losing tons of money on their favorite US TECH trades: Mom-and-pop investors bought +$315 million of SpaceX, $SPCX, shares so far in July, the largest of any single stock tracked by Vanda Research. This was followed by +$194 million into Intel, $INTC, +$142 million into Ondas, $ONDS, and +$65 million into Oracle, $ORCL. By comparison, Microsoft, $MSFT, the most-bought Magnificent Seven stock, drew just +$52 million, while Alphabet, $GOOGL, Amazon, $AMZN, and Tesla, $TSLA, each pulled in under +$30 million. Meanwhile, $SPCX is down -47% since its peak and -20% since its June 12th debut. Furthermore, $INTC is down -31% over the last month while $ONDS and $ORCL are both down -51% from their early June highs. Overall, retail trading volume remains at an all-time high, with average daily volumes in May and June more than double the 2024 average. Retail investors are chasing stocks that are dropping like a rock.
