Get out of your niche before it kills you One of the hardest lessons is realizing that the thing that made you grow is the same thing that can trap you. I’ve been there. context: in 2023 I spent almost all my time writing about Polygon and its NFT ecosystem. I grew fast. Met a lot of people, made friends Built a name around that narrative. But over time, the meta died. It never really exploded, and eventually the attention moved on. So the real question: What do you do when people only know you for that one thing? My solution was simple I kept the same format. The same style (threads). But I started talking about other topics. The goal was to see if I could make myself the niche. Call it personal branding if you want. Because if people only follow you because you’re the Polygon guy or the xyz guy who talks about one thing, you’re holding a double edged sword. Either: - the niche grows and carries you with it or - the niche dies, and you die with it Reinvent yourself. Be your own niche
