Anthropic has signed a $35 billion computing contract with Nvidia-backed cloud provider Lambda as it rapidly expands its AI infrastructure capacity, according to a person familiar with the matter. The project includes a data center in Texas being developed by Hut 8, while Nvidia is reportedly set to lease the facility. The deal adds to Anthropic’s growing infrastructure commitments, following a $45 billion agreement with Nscale in West Virginia and cloud-service deals worth $50 billion with Fluidstack and $45 billion with SpaceX. Meanwhile, Lambda is reportedly seeking to raise up to $3 billion at a valuation of $12 billion or more. Nvidia has increasingly used its financial resources to expand access to AI computing infrastructure, supporting demand for its chips. Earlier this week, the company also agreed to invest $3.5 billion in chip designer MediaTek, its largest direct investment outside the U.S. $NVDA #Anthropic
