NEWS UPDATE: Global technology equity funds are experiencing an unprecedented concentration of investor demand, attracting approximately $195 billion in net inflows over the past 12 months the largest of any major sector and more than the next nine sectors combined. The acceleration has been particularly pronounced in recent months, with technology fund inflows doubling over the past four months. By comparison, Industrials and Materials, the second and third largest recipients, attracted approximately $55 billion and $45 billion, respectively, over the same period. Energy funds drew roughly $25 billion, while Healthcare attracted approximately $15 billion. The magnitude of these flows underscores the growing dominance of technology in global capital allocation, reflecting investor expectations that technological innovation particularly AI and digital infrastructure will remain a primary engine of corporate earnings and economic growth.
