NEAR is still an L1 (and a pretty good one) the user-facing product (near-com) may be what gives meaning to it, but without the solid L1 and tech stack @NEARProtocol has, the product wouldn't exist the near protocol/network is the freedom engine powering the product users may not care much about that and it may not buy market's attention, but it is still a core part of the whole and the silent truth that makes everything possible it's not a pivot, it's just the vision being built first the foundation (L1), then what comes on top of it
