Marvell $MRVL is becoming the next trillion dollar company (Save this). Every major cloud company is racing to build its own AI chips instead of paying Nvidia's prices forever. Marvell is the company they are all hiring to design and build those chips. Right now Marvell has 18 active custom chip programs and a dozen of them sit inside the four biggest hyperscalers on the planet. Management just guided fiscal 2027 revenue to $11.5 billion, up 40% year over year. The chart below shows where this goes next. Revenue moves from $8.7 billion over the last twelve months to $16.7 billion by fiscal 2028 and $23.3 billion by fiscal 2029, nearly tripling in three years. Custom silicon alone is expected to clear $10 billion in annual revenue by fiscal 2029. When a hyperscaler hires Marvell to build its AI accelerator, Marvell also sells the switches, the optical interconnects, the memory fabric and the retimers that go around it. One customer win turns into four or five revenue streams. Our PRO analysts have also been tracking a newer piece of that stack: CXL technology, the layer that lets AI servers share memory across an entire data center rack instead of every chip hoarding its own. Agentic AI systems running around the clock keep hitting memory ceilings and CXL is the fix. Marvell already holds the leading market share in CXL silicon and bought XConn Technologies, the company behind the most advanced CXL switch chips, for $540 million in February. It shipped next generation 260 lane CXL 3.0 switches in March. Our PRO team expects CXL revenue alone to hit roughly $1 billion in fiscal 2027 and $2 billion in fiscal 2028 entirely on top of the existing business. Marvell has become the infrastructure layer that hyperscalers route their entire AI silicon independence through.
