A contract holds 10 coins. Someone makes an allowed withdrawal, leaving 8. The old output is spent and a new one holds the remaining coins. How can an app recognize that it is following the same contract? KIP-20 describes covenant IDs: a continuing identifier that valid successor outputs can carry.
