Kaito is back, they say. Axis paid creators and my timeline is full of screenshots. I got curious and did the math on the pool, and it's a lot smaller than the noise around it. Kaito's cut was 2.5M AXIS. At about 29 cents that's roughly $725K for the whole campaign. Top 100 shared around $290K, so a bit under 3k each. Positions 101 to 500 got about the same total spread over 400 people, which lands near $700 a head. Stakers got 0.05% of supply, call it $145K, split between everyone who staked. Those are my numbers off the current price, nothing official. What bugs me is $KAITO itself. Still around 27 cents. Creators got liquid tokens at TGE, and the token that's supposed to sit in the middle of all this got basically nothing out of it. Axis pays, Kaito distributes, KAITO holders watch. Maybe that changes if pools get bigger or the staker share goes up. Today it looks more like Kaito became a distribution service for projects. Can be a decent business, I just don't see where the token fits yet. If you're staking KAITO right now, what's your reason to hold?
