Kinetiq launches the high-speed scaling layer Elysium—the second growth curve for HYPE! The ecosystem’s liquid staking protocol, @Kinetiq_xyz, has unveiled the Elysium initiative, aiming not just to launch an L2, but to build a high-performance scaling layer centered around Hyperliquid’s core trading engine, HyperCore. Over the past year, Hyperliquid has become a dominant on-chain trading platform through its perpetuals, but HyperEVM has increasingly revealed performance and cost limitations when supporting more DeFi applications. Elysium’s most significant innovation is making hyperliquid:native the network’s native gas token. This means HYPE will no longer serve merely as a governance and value asset within the Hyperliquid ecosystem—it could become the foundational fuel for the entire scaling network. Simultaneously, Elysium will deeply integrate with HyperCore, enabling developers to directly access Hyperliquid market data via optimized L1Read precompiles, empowering the creation of higher-performance trading applications such as PropAMM, arbitrage tools, and novel DeFi products. Elysium also seeks to redefine traditional perceptions of L2s.
