Fundamental Monthly Review for #hbar – July 2026 July 2026 was primarily a month of fundamental advancement for Hedera, while the price remained largely sideways to slightly downward, trading between $0.065 and $0.074 (perfectly within our accumulation zones). Despite weak price action, institutional adoption, technological progress, and real-world use cases remained firmly in focus. Regulation & Institutions - Hedera was highlighted in a FATF report as a trusted settlement infrastructure with no links to illicit financial flows. - A report supported by the UK Treasury identified Hedera as a leading example of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. - The existing spot HBAR ETF continued to show stable holdings with modest net inflows. Partnerships & Adoption - Utila integrated Hedera for institutional custody and wallet solutions. - Asseto Access enabled institutional clients to access Hedera Mainnet and HashSphere for tokenization, trading, and settlement. - The partnership with McLaren garnered additional attention following Lando Norris’s victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix. - The Rosen app expanded its global microtransactions to approximately 200 countries. Technology & Network - Hedera achieved a major milestone with full EVM compatibility, enabling easier development of Ethereum smart contracts on Hedera. - The BillsOnChain pilot demonstrated the potential for real enterprise applications, processing over 830,000 on-chain transactions in just two weeks. - Although the Bonzo Lend exploit resulted in approximately $9 million in losses, it affected only the DeFi protocol—the Hedera network itself remained completely unaffected. On-Chain & Market - Large wallets (whales) continued accumulating significant amounts of HBAR despite weak price movement. - According to Santiment, development activity in the Real World Assets (RWA) sector was among the strongest across the entire crypto market. - At the same time, TVL, network fees, and DeFi activity remained below expectations. Discussions around future treasury releases and tokenomics continued to dominate. Fundamentally, July was significantly stronger for HBAR than its price action suggested. With full EVM compatibility, new institutional partnerships, growing RWA adoption, and rising enterprise usage, Hedera made meaningful progress. This very disconnect between strong fundamentals and weak price performance is precisely what I personally leverage.
