◈ I Replaced the API Key With a Payment @hedera @HederaCommunity AI agents can reason, call tools and make decisions-but they still need humans to open accounts, copy API keys and manage subscriptions before they can buy data. I built ◈ DeltaSignal ProofPay to remove that bottleneck for the Hedera x402 Bounty. Here is the complete flow: An AI agent requests protected DeltaSignal research. The server responds with HTTP 402: Payment Required. The buyer authorizes the exact HBAR transfer. A facilitator verifies the request and sponsors the network fee. Hedera reaches consensus. Only then does ProofPay unlock the sealed evidence. A signed receipt connects the request, payment and delivered content. Change even one byte of the evidence-and verification fails. Why Hedera? Autonomous micropayments need fast settlement, predictable fees, fee sponsorship and independent public verification. The buyer authorizes the value while the facilitator handles the network fee-creating a cleaner payment experience for agents. x402 negotiates the payment. Hedera settles it. ◈ DeltaSignal ProofPay proves what the payment unlocked. This is not a simulated checkout. The project includes a real Hedera testnet transaction, public HashScan evidence, a live API, offline receipt verification, tamper detection and an open-source implementation.
