A roadmap can promise a lot. But I pay more attention when a project actually executes something. That’s why Grvt’s first buyback and burn caught my attention. @grvt_io has purchased and permanently burned 1.1M GRVT, nearly 1% of the circulating supply at the time of purchase. These tokens weren’t moved into a treasury. They were permanently burned. That distinction matters. A completed action is something the community can verify, not just another promise on a roadmap. What I also like is the transparency. An independent execution partner handles purchases on behalf of the Foundation’s token issuer, while a public dashboard tracks buybacks, circulating supply percentages, cumulative burns and transaction hashes. Future buybacks are intended to happen monthly, at the issuer’s discretion. So I’m not treating them as guaranteed, but completing the first one is a concrete starting point. Now the bigger question is what comes next with Grvt 2.0, rolling out through November 2026. Grvt Earn is targeting up to 11% yield through tokenized fixed-income strategies. Stable Funding Perps aim to bring stocks, FX, commodities and indices into the platform, while Yield as Margin could let eligible Earn balances generate yield while serving as trading collateral. Yield as Margin is the feature I’m most interested in. Traders already put capital to work as margin. If that same eligible balance can also generate yield, it could make capital more efficient without constantly moving funds between separate products. Of course, the 11% yield is a target, not a guarantee, and the actual benefits will depend on how these products work in practice. For me, the burn is a solid first step. But the real test for Grvt 2.0 will be turning this vision into products people actually use. Onchain transparency gets my attention. Execution is what keeps it.
