Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite is optimized for speed and cost in everyday tasks such as document processing and agent search, while Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber is specifically designed to detect and fix critical software vulnerabilities. All three models are now available in the Gemini app, and developers can immediately access them via Google AI Studio and Android Studio APIs; the Cyber model is currently available through a limited pilot program via CodeMender. Comments show more skepticism than enthusiastic support: while users acknowledge the value of “fast and cheap,” many express disappointment over the absence of a top-tier intelligent model and unclear real-world performance. Some developers plan to try the models—especially in cost-sensitive scenarios—but many are still waiting for a stronger Pro-level model.
