September 19-20, 2026. a signing key tied to SingularityNET's cross-chain bridge got compromised. one function call drained 8.7M FET, about $1.55M, instantly. the same attacker then used a stolen minting key on NuNet to print 408.5M unauthorized NTX tokens, about 42% of the entire supply, crashing the token. AGIX, a SingularityNET token, got hit through the same bridge exploit. WMTx got affected too, through shared cross-chain permissions. total attacker holdings: ~$17M. the valid part is the scary part. the signatures were real. the keys just weren't in the right hands. when settlement depends on a signer, whoever controls that signer's key controls what moves. @Pact_Swap's contracts settle by checking directly against each chain's own canonical data, not a single backend signature. that's the specific failure point this case exposes. 🔑 https://t.co/4JwTYqgIff $PACT #Bitcoin #DeFi #CrossChain
