v1 is still a great way to get privacy onchain and will continue to be supported. v2 is built to be your private ethereum account. you can keep funds there long term and earn yield on your shielded balance, without deposit fees. v2 also enables more ways to transact privately like private transfers, payment requests, and swaps. we encourage everyone to try v2 and over time believe that it will become much more popular than v1. if you want to move your funds, you can withdraw from v1, ideally to a fresh wallet, and then shield your funds in v2.
